These instructions relate to changing the main greeting text on the two reference telephones.

• Dial 2-8000, then *2-1775* (or *2-1780*)
• You'll hear the greeting "Hello, Sterling Reference. Please enter your passcode."
• Enter the Reference passcode
• Press 8 for User Options
• Press 4 to Change Your Greeting
• Press 7 for Record a Greeting

Greeting text on 2-1775:

You've reached the Reference Desk of Sterling Memorial Library at Yale University.

From …. …., reference service is available in Sterling on the following schedule: Monday-Thursday 8:30am-5:00pm and 7:00pm-10:00pm; Saturday 1:00pm-5:00; and Sunday 1:00pm-5:00

[From Tuesday, May 12 through Tuesday, September 2, reference service hours are 8:30am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday. There will be no reference service available on Memorial Day, the fourth of July, or Labor Day.]
