Selected Databases and Services for Yale Visitors
While a select few science databases are available for (walk-in) visitor use, the majority of our access is limited by license to Yale students, staff, and faculty AND reciprocal academic users from institutions with existing licenses to these same databases.

Unlike many humanities and social science databases, the sciences can not provide access to our subscribed databases to non-affiliated users. These non-affiliated and non-reciprocal users should visit a public library for their information needs. The nearest public research library is Southern Connecticut State University, and the publicly available state-wide online database is iCONN (see below).

Alumni do NOT receive comprehensive Yale science library privileges due to the same restrictions. Access is denied to many databases and to Interlibrary Loan. Please contact the Yale Library Privileges Office for additional details.
