STANDARD Three
Having learned in Standard 3 Lesson Three how to evluate information and its sources, this section will guide us through identifying bias in information sources.
For ease of reading and comprehension, this lesson is divided into four (4) parts:
Part A:Distinguishing among facts, points of view, and opinion.
Part B: Recognizing prejudice, deception, or manipulation in the information or its use.
Part C: Recognizing the cultural, physical, or other context within which the information was created, and understanding the impact of context on interpreting the information.
Part C: Investigating differing viewpoints encountered in the literature.
