Science Libraries Staff will follow the Science Libraries LSF Serial Transfer Workflow and:

• Confirm holdings, and edit/create MFHD.
• Edit/create item records.
• Compare item records to holdings and physical items to ensure that all physical items and holdings recorded have item records.
• Forward the LSF Serial Transfer Form(s) to the Coordinator of Automation & Technical Services.
• Place a printed copy of the LSF Serial Transfer Form in the first volume of the serial.
• Clearly mark the shelf using LSF Transfer flags to alert LSF staff as to specifically what physical items are to be removed for transfer to LSF.

LSF Staff will:

• Remove the material.
• Change the item types in the item records.

The MFHD location codes will be changed in an automated system process. Science Libraries staff should not change the MFHD location codes, or the item record location codes.
