Bioethics -- Yale Selected Library and Internet Resources
This guide was initially prepared for use by students of CSTS/TC 481 Bioethics, taught by Professor Arthur
Galston in 1998 and 1999. The current revision shows major and notable information sources available in or outside of the identified libraries at Yale and reflects more contemporary search examples and a limited number of recent publications. The guide is intended as a overview for identifying publications and sources of reference or published information for topics within science.
Additional sources associated with animals are also available. These include the UFAW Handbook on the Care and Management of Laboratory Animals and the National Rresearch Council's newer Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals in the KSL reference collection at SF406/SF405.5 .
The bioethics thesaurus, found in Bibliography of Bioethics, is useful for selecting
keywords and their synonyms or related terms to form search strategies in numerous sources. This annual is located at Kline Science Library, in the
Abstracts area. See volume 1 (1975) for the bioethics thesaurus. A newer thesaurus was published in volume 18 (1992).
