SCOPA Meeting Minutes

SCOPA Minutes: 2/4/99 Meeting

Present: Suzanne Eggleston, Erika Heinen, Thomas Hyry, Jennifer, Kostelnik, Xin Li, Dajin Sun, Jim Shetler (Chair and recorder)

Absent: Diane Turner

I. Announcements

A. Introductions were made.

B. Dajin will now be responsible for maintain the SCOPA web site and associated web calendar. Suzanne will continue to update the library wide events calendar.

II. Agenda items

A. The appearance of the SCOPA web site was discussed. The group decided to delete the graphics at the bottom of each page. The group also decided that a reorganization of the page's structure was necessary. Additionally, WAG will be contacted to obtain input from the Yale Press on the appearance and structure of the page.

B. Upcoming forums

1. E.J. Josey's visit on Feb. 25 was discussed.
2. Tom agreed to contact Dan Chudnov to finalize Dan's DubMed presentation.
3. Suzanne discussed the possibility of contacting Danuta on a forum concerning the Off Campus Shelving Facility.
4. Jim discussed the possibility of contacting Jean Hirons about the Serial Cataloging Training Program and/or a presentation about the PCC project.
5. Jim put out a call to those assembled to think about ideas for upcoming forums.

III. Next SCOPA Meeting

The next SCOPA meeting will take place on Feb. 18 from 12:00 to 1:00 PM in room 410, SML
