SCOPA NEW LIBRARIANS ORIENTATION

-- Details for the upcoming “Orientation for New Librarians” scheduled for Wednesday,  April 2, were finalized.

-- Shawn confirmed sending out an electronic invitation to the new librarians.  She also briefly listed the materials to be included in the folders to be distributed at the orientation meeting.

-- The program for the meeting was distributed to the Committee members and approved.

-- Daniel suggested adding the SCOPA URL on the program.  He will also point out the    newly added “Suggestion box” when making his presentation on the SCOPA Website.

-- Eric mentioned the improvements he made on the brochure for the Grants Committee.

-- Lunch has been ordered and the menu is a repeat of last year’s menu.  Shawn will bring dessert.

A discussion followed as to whether the SCOPA Orientation for New Librarians should be renamed to make it clear that this program is not duplicating the University orientation program.

Nancy Kuhl suggested finding an easier way to access the SCOPA page, as she was having problems finding it.
