Grants Committee:
The report to LMC will be on March 24. Past recipients were invited to give presentations; three recipient groups from 2002-2003 grants will be presenting. Planning is continuing for a Forum with 2003 grants recipients.
Forum general coordination:
- e-mail SCOPA group to make sure no double booking of Forum dates occur.
- let Daniel Dollar and Andrew Gray know dates so that Library and SCOPA calendar listings will have SCOPA Forum information
- idea of development of a working calendar within SCOPA for preliminary scheduling was presented
- announcements and publicity are the responsibility of of the main planner

o for Education Forum ad in Yale Daily and announcement in Yale Bulletin; also fliers for distribution; contact Graduate School Dean
Forums status:
- Wesleyan University “Library Project” – set for February 17
- Communications Group; new planner is Daniel Dollar; date choices are Feb. 25 or 26 or late April.

Joanne Rudof of the Fortunoff Archive will introduce and
discuss their recent project, the documentary film "Remembering
Czestochowa," made to accompany an exhibit in Poland on the history of the
Jews in Czestochowa.
March 4, 2-3:15pm in SML Lecture HallEducation Forum – need to get date set as
soon as possible for publicity work
- Microcosm Group – March 8, need final details, is all the committee coming?
- CLIR Post Doctoral Initiative and Library Education – submit questions to as panelists to Nancy Kuhl
- Economic Growth Center Digital Library – maybe scheduled for May of sometime in Fall
- Snapshop – Medical Historical Library – will start in their reading room and move on into a conference room
- Lewis Walpole Library Forum – mid-October timeframe
Other business:
- speaker at Univ. of Hartford on March 17 that we may be able to piggyback on to for a SCOPA Forum (fell through)
- SCOPA Recent Publications of Yale Librarians list: questions on inclusion of non-library literature (still scholarly) and C&T scholarly publications. Soraya and Nancy will contact Diane concerning criteria for inclusion
- Rich Richie and Ellen Hammond are interested in providing a Forum in the Fall based on their visits for Asian libraries
