Introductions were made welcoming the new committee members, and Shawn
shared the joyful news of her
pregnancy.

committee organized itself into the following sub-committee/program areas for
the coming year: Grants Sub-Committee: Mike Strom (chair), Polly Chang,
Rowena Griem, and Nancy Kuhl; New Librarian Orientation Sub-Committee: Shawn
Steidinger, Rowena Griem, and Carla Heister; Mentor Program: Polly Chang and
Carla Heister; Yale Librarians Publication List: Soraya Magalhaes-Willson;
Webmaster: Daniel Dollar

Nancy noted the committee can not provide an honorarium to
forum speakers, however we have limited budget to cover travel expenses.
Non-YUL forum speaker are taken out for a meal usually lunch. Nancy wants to
encourage others both on and outside the committee to attend if they have an
interest in meeting with the forum speaker. Please note the committee is only
able to cover the expense of the speaker’s meal.
