Jim Shetler provided a report on SCOPA accomplishments during the past year. Scott Bennett encouraged us to continue doing what we do as we represent the real library in our work and achievements.
Scheduling future meetings -
- Next Meeting: Thursday, 10 Feb 2000, 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
- Forthcoming meeting will be every second Thursday in coordination with
CCC (Sun's request)

- To be maintained by Dajin Sun (continuing)
- Update to membership roster (soon)
- Update minutes (upon receipt from recorders)
Potential Forum Ideas
- Bob Strauss (sp) for February forum (Heinen will coordinate)
- Dan Chudnov - JAKE Forum?
- Manuscripts and Archives Forum on 300th Celebration activities
- Speakers: some funding but for Travel, Hotel, Meals, and Possible Small Honorarium only
Grants Subcommittee
- we need to be more focused on SCOPA grants this year
- focus on information exchange about the grants: announcements, information
- send the announcement out about this year's grant recipients
- focus on making this a more visible part of the work of SCOPA
Mentoring Program
- Liaison, Kostelnik, will provide committee a summary of progress and
current status
- focus on publicizing this program
- focus on improving overall
