New! Information Services in the Sterling Memorial Library
At the beginning of the 2008-2009 academic year, Information Services, a new integrated service located at the Sterling Memorial Library former reference desk, was introduced to provide information about the Yale University Library's collections and services, directional assistance, referrals to subject specialists, and reference assistance, as well as information about privileges and reader access, stack passes, study carrels, fines, and circulation.
Information Services was designed to increase hours in which staff are available to assist readers in the Sterling nave, as well as enhanced assistance for readers who have questions about accessing the Library and its resources. As part of this change, Privileges Office operations were moved to the new location in the nave.
Information Services (including Privileges) hours are:
- Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
- Sunday, 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Phone contact: (203) 432-7189 or 432-8797
