Recall a Book That's Checked Out, UNCAT or In Process
To recall a book that is checked out in Orbis, search and display the item you need, click on Place Requests, and follow the instructions. Also use recall for items listed as UNCAT and In Process. For more about recall, see Orbis help. Also consider Borrow Direct.

Request a Book from Another Yale Library (Eli Express and LSF Retrieval)
Eli Express allows you to request delivery of books from any of Yale's participating libraries to another Yale library of your choice. Items located at LSF are shelved off-site and can be delivered to a campus library in one business day. To place a request in Orbis, search and display the item you need, click on Place Requests, and follow the instructions. For more information about Eli Express, see Orbis help.

Request a Book from the Stacks (Page)
Some Yale libraries provide a paging service to have books retrieved from the stacks and held for you at that library's circulation desk. Paging services are available at Sterling Memorial Library, Divinity Library, Epidemiology & Public Health (EPH) Library, Medical Library, and Mudd Stacks. To place a Page request in Orbis, search and display the item you need, click on Place Requests, and follow the instructions.

Request a Book That's On Order
Some titles in Orbis are On Order. Use the On Order form to request such titles.
