Citation Linker is a quick tool to use when you have a citation for an
article you need to find. Simply enter the information you know
about the citation into the Web form and Citation Linker will search for
the article in Yale's online content. Citation Linker will create a menu
of options for you. If it finds full text, that link(s) will display at
the top of the menu. Additional links for searching Yale Library catalogs
or list of online journals will also display.
Example
You need the article for this citation: Birnbaum, JH (2003). "The
new soft money." Fortune 148(10) p.155- 8.
Citation
Linker will work best if you give it the following information:
- Full title of the journal or ISSN (a unique identifier). Do not use a journal
abbreviation.
- Year.
- Volume.
- Issue.
- First page of the article.
Here is the completed form for this example. Notice that all the fields
are not completed.
Once you fill out the form you will click on the Yale Links button
and a Yale Links services menu will be displayed. In this case you would
see
(with links to full text listed first):

Citation
Linker won't always be able to discover online content automatically.
For those
times, you should explore the other options on the menu to see if you
could find the citation online or in print using other search tools, such
as Yale list of online journals or Library's catalog, Orbis.
