International Finance Corporation The International Finance Corporation (IFC) is the largest multilateral source of loan and equity financing for private sector projects in the developing world. IFC finances and provides advice for private sector ventures and projects in developing countries in partnership with private investors. Their website contains the full text of their annual report, as well as information on foreign stock exchanges, recent figures from the IFC Global Price Indexes, back issues of weekly stock market news, and more. Ohio State Virtual Finance Library An outstanding guide to resources of interest in the fields of finance, banking, and investing. One of the most comprehensive financial sites on the web, it also includes a good section on World Markets. Foreign Stock Exchanges and Trade Organizations Provides information for eighteen African stock exchanges, as well as information on the African Stock Exchanges Association, information on stock exchange performances, and notable Africa-oriented equity funds. Federation of Euro-Asian Stock Exchanges Established at the initiation of the Istanbul Stock Exchange on May 16, 1995, its founding members numbered 12 stock exchanges in emerging markets in Europe and Asia. Currently, there are 22 member exchanges representing over 6,900 traded companies. Includes a newsletter featuring highlights of member countries' stock exchanges, index charts and other member statistics. Ibero-American Federation of Stock Exchanges Latin American/European trade organization that works to cooperate with national and international entities having legislative, regulatory, or other functions in respect of financial and securities markets. Includes information and links to member country exchanges, annual statistics, and selected full text documents in Spanish. International Federation of Stock Exchanges. (Requires Java-Enabled Browser). International trade organization for regulated securities and derivatives markets world-wide. Works to promote multilateral policies in the securities market industry, and disseminate information on professional developments to public authorities, financial intermediaries, investors, researchers, and the press. Includes information about the FIBV newsletter, as well as statistical data on equity and bond markets, derivatives, stock market indices, and emerging markets (downloadable into an Excel spreadsheet). International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) A 134-member country international agency dedicated "to promote high standards of regulation in order to maintain just, efficient and sound markets; to exchange information on their respective experiences in order to promote the development of domestic markets; and to unite their efforts to establish standards and an effective surveillance of international securities transactions." Provides an alphabetical listing of foreign stock exchanges for over 50 countries. Produced by the Center for International Business Information (also known as "the Internationalist") which provides information on banks, consultants, financial services, and government information by country.
