Ethernet access

Ethernet circuits for laptops are available on the first and second floors of the Social Science Library. To plug your laptop into an Ethernet circuit, you need:

• An Ethernet card & cable for your laptop computer
• Authorization for roaming access (Faculty and Staff)
• Authorization for roaming access (Students)

Wireless access

Wireless access is available on all floors of the Social Science Library, in the Government Documents and Information Center, and on the first, second, and third floors of the Mudd Library.
To access the wireless network, you need:

• A wireless network card in your laptop computer
• To configure the card with the proper network name (sometimes called SSID): yale wireless
• To register the card’s Ethernet hardware address for 'DHCP Roaming'. See the Wireless Networking at Yale Website for details.
