      <![CDATA[The last day of operation for the Science Library, Social Science Library and StatLab will be Friday, December 16th.  They  will re-open as the <a href="http://csssi.yale.edu/">Center for Science & Social Science Information (CSSSI)</a> on Monday, January 3rd at 219 Prospect Street. 

After December 21st, the book drop at 140 Prospect Street will not be available. Books will need to be returned at other libraries. Patrons with books to be picked up can do so after January 3rd at the CSSSI. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

      <![CDATA[The Yale University Library’s annual food drive is underway. We are looking for donations of non-perishable food and personal hygiene items. Some much-needed items include:

•	100% fruit juice
•	Boxed pasta
•	Canned beans
•	Canned meat and tuna
•	Canned soups and stews
•	Combs and hairbrushes
•	Powdered milk
•	Shaving cream and razors
•	Spaghetti sauce
•	Toothbrushes and toothpaste

A donation box is available on the first floor of the Social Science Library. Donation boxes can also be found at other Yale libraries including Bass, Engineering, and Kline. Donations will be accepted through Monday, December 20th.

The food drive will benefit the <a href="http://www.ctfoodbank.org/">Connecticut Food Bank</a>, a private non-profit organization that provides food products to over 650 food pantries, shelters, and soup kitchens throughout Connecticut.
