Public Opinion Poll Question Database
(Institute for Research in Social Science, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill). Search
questions from Carolina Polls, Louis Harris & Assoc. Polls, Southern Polls, Knight Foundation Community
Polls and state polls. How to Get the Data: For many polls, data may be downloaded for
free. Also, for some polls (Harris, NNSP, Southern Focus, and Carolina Polls), you may run crosstabs online.

Polling the Nations

Includes questions and responses from more than 6,500 national, state, local and special surveys in the US
and 60 other countries. The data are gathered from professional polling organizations, television networks,
universities, newspapers, businesses and associations. Information provided includes: survey method, source
name and contact information, sample size, and notes on the sample population. For earlier surveys (back

Opinion, 1935-1997 on CD-ROM SSL, 2-Hour Reserve, HN90 P8 G23 2000 Contains 25 volumes of
the Gallup Poll Public Opinion Series, as well as a comprehensive index. Contains results for all polls

Health Poll Search - A searchable archive of
approximately 40,000 public opinion questions on health issues from 1935-present. This database is a subset of the Roper
Center's Polls & Surveys database (see above). Response percentages and
source information are provided for all questions. Health Poll Search is presented by the Kaiser Family Foundation and the Roper Center for Public Opinion Research at the University of

The Pew Research Center for the People and the Press Use
the Search box on the home page to search Pew Research Center Reports, which contain links to the survey
questionnaires. How to Get the Data: Datasets back to 1997 can be downloaded for free
from the PRC's data archive. Survey data are released six
months after the reports are issued and are posted as quickly as possible.
JPOLL -
the
Japanese Public Opinion Database JPOLL contains more than 10,000 public opinion questions and the respective responses from
Japan's major survey research sources. These studies cover social, political, and economic topics throughout the current
decade. Question text and responses have been translated into English. Searching the database is free, but registration is required.
JPOLL is maintained by the Roper Center for Public Opinion Research with funding from the United States-Japan

ICPSR, the world's largest repository of computer-readable social science data, acquires, processes, and

Roper Center Archive
Catalog Search the Roper Center's catalog by keyword to identify surveys on particular topics.
Information includes: survey firm, survey sponsor, field dates, sample and sample size. The Yale Roper Collection includes a complete set of the
polls acquired by the Roper Center from its founding through 1984. Since 1984, polls have been added as

Latin American Databank (Roper Center)
The Latin American Databank at the Roper Center for Public Opinion Research locates, acquires, processes and archives public opinion
surveys conducted by the survey research community in Latin America, including universities, institutes, individual scholars, private
polling and public opinion research firms. To date, the LAD collection holds nearly one thousand studies from 16 countries, with the

Presidential Job Performance (Roper Center)
Public opinion polls on the president's job performance. Includes separate charts from various polling

Public Agenda Choose an issue and then a link under the
"public opinion" section for a brief list of findings on the topic. Click on a finding for information about
the specific survey. Public Agenda gathers public opinion data from a variety of sources including surveys
conducted by most major opinion research organizations. In some areas, Public Agenda has conducted extensive
research itself, and that research is summarized where appropriate. Recent data are given preference.
Findings prior to 1997 are reported only when no newer comparable data are available, and Public Agenda

Program on International Policy
Attitudes
The Program on International Policy Attitudes (PIPA) carries out research
on public attitudes on international issues by conducting nationwide
polls, focus groups and comprehensive reviews of polling conducted by
other organizations. The site includes reports of findings, press
releases, and questionnaires organized by topic. Raw data are not
available on this site. PIPA also maintains Americans and the World, which
compiles information on and provides analyses of US public opinion on
international issues.
