Quinnipiac University Elementary Education Program

The purpose of Quinnipiac's Five-Year BA/MAT Program is to prepare graduates with the perspectives, knowledge and skills to become master educators. Graduates of the program learn to have high expectations for all their students, focus on the individual student's success, and work collaboratively with colleagues, families and the community for the students' benefit. Graduates are prepared to create effective, positive learning opportunities for students from multi-cultures, multiple developmental levels, and multiple abilities, and to become future leaders in their schools and the professional community.

Southern Connecticut State University School of Education

The School of Education at Southern Connecticut State University is a professional school whose mission is to advance the science and art of teaching and learning. The school is responsible for preparing teachers to work with individuals from birth through adulthood. The school strives to maintain a high standard of excellence in its programs and seeks to develop graduates committed to lifelong learning, intellectual honesty, personal integrity, and respect for the rights and freedom of others.

Teacher Preparation Program at Yale

The Teacher Preparation program is a state-approved program designed for students interested in teaching in middle and high schools. Upon successful completion of the program, a student is eligible to apply for certification in grades 7 through 12 in most academic subjects in Connecticut and in a large number of other states. The program usually accepts up to thirty first-year students, most of whom continue into the second year; Special Students and students in the graduate and professional schools are accepted if space is available.

University of Connecticut School of Education

The web site of the University of Connecticut's School of Education whose mission is concerned with the advancement and transmission of knowledge, the translation of research into service, and the delivery of superior educational opportunities to graduate and undergraduate students consistent with their professional aspirations. To accomplish this mission the School of Education seeks to foster research relevant to the improvement of education and to produce intellectual leaders, scholars, and expert practitioners.

University of New Haven Education Programs

The University of New Haven's Gatehouse Programs in Education provide three alternatives for graduate study in education: (1) Teacher Certification for those who wish to obtain certification; (2) Professional Education for those who are already in the field; and (3) School Administration for those seeking additional certification in leadership roles.
