for Connecticut's Children and Youth, Inc. is a statewide, citizen-based
membership organization established in September, 1995. Founded to help citizens
become even better advocates for the well-being of children and youth in
all of Connecticut's communities, CCCY works to ensure that every child in
Connecticut enters school ready to learn, graduates ready to work, and is
safe and healthy. Connecticut KidsLink is our way to begin to link Connecticut
citizens and provide them with current and useful information about matters
that impact on children and their families.

Early Childhood Education Program
The Early Childhood Education Program at the Yale Child Study Center represents
a working coalition of the directors of each of the Yale affiliated child
care programs and the Child Study Center Early Childhood Faculty. With the
support of the provost's office, under which the Yale Office of Child Care
was formerly placed, the program is able to provide a range of services for
the Yale community. The program is dedicated to providing quality care and
education for infants and young children. Investing in early childhood education
and quality for infants and young children represents a significant investment
in the future well-being of our society. Education and intervention in the
preschool years not only enhance children's transition to the primary grades,
but for those children with special needs by the time they reach school age.

Yale National Initiative Curricular Resources for All Teachers Institutes
Each teacher participating as a Fellow in an Institute seminar prepares a curriculum
unit to be taught the following year, and to be shared with other teachers.
Since the inception of the New Haven Institute in 1978, Fellows have
written more than 1,400 curriculum units in the humanities and sciences.
These units contain four elements: objectives, teaching strategies, sample
lessons and classroom activities, and lists of resources for teachers and students.
During the National Demonstration Project, teachers in Pittsburgh,
Houston, Albuquerque, and Santa Ana prepared curriculum units through their
Teachers Institutes. The full curricular resources prepared by teachers from
all five cities are now available online. You may search them by entering terms
in the box above, or by going directly to each Institute's website below.
