“I’m born June 15, 1918 in Poland...I was living in Czestochowa...In
1939 in my city used to live about 40,000 Jews...I’m coming from
a family of seven children: three sisters, four brother...My father was
an orthodox Jew. I went to Cheder and I went to Polish school...From the
ninety-six people [my immediate family] we are left only four...They disappeared;
they just disappeared...I don’t think I have any hope now...to find
anybody from my brothers and sisters.”
