about it. The town itself is about roughly a little less than two miles...from
the camp, down at the bottom of a hill. What they in effect were saying
was that up at the top of the hill...was just a training area for German
troops. They admitted no knowledge whatsoever of the concentration camp.
They basically lied to us...The people could not help but know that the
camp was there.”
