Samuel Totten's review of the first edition of
the Guide to Yale University Library Holocaust Video Testimonies
in Holocaust and Genocide Studies notes: "Researchers, educators, and
others will find this volume extremely useful and easy to use. It is a welcome
addition to the many other guides, bibliographies, and filmographies now
available on the Holocaust."
The second edition of the Guide to Yale University Library Holocaust
Video Testimonies provides summaries of 567 videotape testimonies
of Holocaust survivors and witnesses from the Fortunoff Archive. Arranged
by Holocaust Video Testimony (HVT) numbers, the Guide was generated from
information in the Research Libraries Information Network international
bibliographic database. The summaries are indexed by geographic heading,
subject, names of known historical figures and the first name and last
initial of the survivors and witnesses to give readers access to the testimonies.
