Auditing a Course at Yale:

A staff member who wants to audit a couse at Yale should contact Yale Summer Session Office at 55 Whitney Ave, Suite 430, Phone: 203 432 2430. There is a form “Yale College Auditing Request” to be filled out and signed by the professor and the employee's supervisor. However the staff member must ask permision to take the class from the professor first.

Yale College & Graduate School of Arts and Sciences:
Regular employees of the University and their spouses may audit courses in Yale College or the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences free of tuition and course fees. There are no grades given to those who audit courses, and course hours from classes audited at Yale are not recorded as course hours toward a degree program.

Professional Schools at Yale University:
Auditing a course offered at one of Yale's professional schools is handled on a case by case basis. A staff member wishing to audit a class, must seek approval from the course instructor. Course listings and instructor contact information can be obtained on the Yale University on-line course information site.
