Staff Training & Organizational Development Committee Present: Paula Ball, Lynne Fors, Erika Heinen, Stephanie Schmitt, Kaylee Sprague, Curtis Orio, Karen Spicher, Kim Tran, Kate Reynolds (chair). Absent: Judy Carnes, Barbara Rockenbach, Josephine Scalzo, Diane Turner, Dana Vanmeter STOD went on a field trip to visit Southern Connecticut State University Library's Adaptive Technology Lab. Jan Hecht, the director, was kind enough to show us a wide variety of technologies. She discussed both applications of technologies and the Lab's innovative cooperative efforts with industry to evaluate new equipment and software in exchange for donations of equipment and software. Ms. Hecht provided us with lots of information including what works best for her patrons. We left grateful and amazed at the range of what is available.
