Instructor Checklist

When planning to conduct training sessions in the SCML, 
keep the following in mind:

Check SCML room availability with the  Yale University Library Calendars site. 
Review the room use Policy.
Book your training session through Webevent.
contact the SCML calendar administrator to request a password to write to the SCML calendar if you don't already have write permissions.
access on-line Webevent tutorial (HTML)
or download the tutorial in Microsoft Word format.
Consult the Software Installation Policy if necessary.

Once you have made your reservation, complete all the information requested on the participant list and forward (via email) to the Mudd Circulation desk at least two days in advance. This form  serves as the sign in/out sheet.
open the participant list form, complete all the information, save the file, attach to an email message and forward.
you will be required to complete this information before gaining access to the SCML; forgetting to so in advance of your session will cause unnecessary delay on the day of training.
keys to the SCML are picked up and returned to the circulation desk.
Remind trainees to bring a valid Yale ID to the Mudd Circulation desk on the day of your training.
Limited on-street parking is available. Encourage your participants to carpool, take the Yale shuttle or walk. A brisk walk is good for all of us!

Make arrangements in advance for any special accommodations for your trainees, as appropriate.
One of the workstations is wheel-chair accessible.

Clean up. Please leave the room the room in a condition so that the next instructor will be able to use it without additional effort. White boards should be erased, markers capped and put away, chairs returned to position and so on.
