Finding UN Documents at Yale

Orbis Help Guide, Yale University
ORBIS, the Yale University Library's online public access catalog, contains the holdings for United Nations serials and the depository materials received since 1998. With the completion of the retrospective conversion of the public catalog, the online catalog represents all of the secondary literature--books, journals, and microforms about the United Nations--that the Library owns. ORBIS provides circulation information for all items as well as holdings information for most journal titles.

Morris (Law Library's Catalog)
The Law Library holds selected materials about the United Nations, particularly the International Court of Justice.

Eureka

United Nations Documentation: Research Guide, UN Dag Hammerskjöld Library
Provides an overview of the various types of documents and publications issued by the Organization (e.g. reports, resolutions, meeting records, sales publications, press releases) and gives guidance as to where to find them in either electronic or paper format and how to work with them.

UNBIS Thesaurus, UN Dag Hammerskjöld Library
The UNBIS Thesaurus contains the terminology used in subject analysis of documents and other materials relevant to United nations programmes and activities. The thesaurus terms are used in UNBISNet.

United Nations Depository Libraries, Dag Hammerskjöld Library, United Nations (New York)
Describes the Depository Library System and provides a link to the List of Depository Libraries Receiving UN Materials organized by country.

UN Agency Library Catalogs

Dag Hammerskjöld Library (DHL), United Nations (New York)
A description of the services and collections, databases and publications, and reference guides of the DHL. Also links to a directory of DHL services and a listing of depository libraries worldwide. Please consult your closest UN depository library before contacting the DHL. United Nations Bibliographic Information System (UNBISnet) is an index to United Nations documentation published since 1979 and includes the catalogue of the Dag Hammerskjöld Library. UN-I-QUE (United Nations Info Quest) is a ready reference database created to respond to frequently asked questions, focusing on documents and publications of a recurrent nature.
