softball details

SOFTBALL: Come one, come all, bringing family, friends, etc.
For those with small children, there is a playground nearby.  
We're not a competitive bunch, so we don't really care if you 
can hit, catch, or throw.  Bring whatever equipment you have, 
we'll share the bats, gloves and balls.  Bring your own methods 
of rehydration. 

WHEN:  Saturday, July 19, 12:30pm

WHERE:  We will be playing at the park under the shadow of East Rock. 

 From the *north* and *east*, you can take Hartford Turnpike or 
Ridge Road to Davis Street.  Off of Davis (in between Hartford Tnpk and 
Ridge Rd.) turn onto Park Drive, and prepare to wind your way all
along the base of East Rock through road name changes (sort of along the
lines of serial name changes) with Park Drive becoming Farnum Dr. then
English Dr.  You'll eventually come to an open area on your right with
softball diamonds in view.  Park along the street.

>From the *south* and *west*, you can take either East Rock Rd. (from
Whitney) or Orange St. Both of the streets dead end into
Park/Farnum/English Dr.  Turn right and wind your way along the base of
East Rock. You'll eventually come to an open area on your right with
softball diamonds in view.  Park along the street.

If it rains, we'll regroup another weekend.
