Remote Authentication Proxy Server
The Remote Authentication Proxy Server is now available for public use.
The Proxy Server allows members of the Yale Community to connect to
IP-restricted Web resources through any Internet Service Provider. The
Remote Authentication Proxy Server uses Yale NetIDs to authenticate users
as a valid members of the Yale community. It acts as a gateway to other
servers on the Internet, allowing users to be identified as coming from
the *.yale.edu domain, no matter how they access the Web.
Users with Yale PPP Accounts or other Yale dialup connections DO NOT need
to use the Proxy Server.
The Proxy Server is linked in the Databases and Electronic Journals
section of the Research Workstation. Others may wish to link to
http://www.library.yale.edu/pubstation/proxy/proxy_about.html from other
such lists on the Library's Web Site.
