SCOPA forum announcement reminder

Just in case you forgot to mark your calendar:

	The Standing Committee on Professional Awareness (SCOPA) is 
pleased to sponsor a forum on Monday, Sept. 20 at 2:00 PM in the SML 
lecture hall featuring Jean Hirons, CONSER Coordinator, Library of 
Congress.  The title of the forum is "CONSER: A Cooperative Catalyst for 
Change".
	CONSER is an international cooperative serials cataloging program. 
 It provides high quality bibliographic records for serials, documentation 
for the cataloging of serials, and training opportunities for serials 
catalogers.  Ms. Hirons will speak on cooperative cataloging, electronic 
serials, training, publication patterns and documentation.  Please come 
attend what promises to be an informative, enlightening presentation.
