Information Ethics Presentation
Next Monday, Dec. 13th from 10 to 11:30 am, Dr. Martha Montague Smith,
assistant professor at the Palmer School of Library and Information
Science, will speak on information ethics in the lecture hall at Sterling
Memorial Library. Information ethics deals with ethical questions in any
information-oriented field or discipline, including computer science,
library & information science, mass media, and the Internet. Dr. Smith's
talk will address issues of access, security, ownership, privacy, and
community.

Dr. Smith's talk is co-sponsored by the Training, Learning, & Communication
sub-committee of the library's Web Advisory Group and by SCOPA. The talk is
