"Wake the Dream" presents the Yale Gospel Choir

REMINDER:
Wednesday, February 9, 2000
Sterling Memorial Lecture Hall
12:30 -2:00

Please join members of the Yale Gospel Choir in celebrating the contribution of African Americans to this form of musical expression. This "brown-bag lunch" event is free and open to Yale Library staff and members of the New Haven and Yale community. Light refreshment will be provided. As always, please make necessary arrangements with your supervisor before planning to attend.

The Yale Gospel Choir (YGC) was founded as a student organization in 1973. The choir sings bimonthly at the Black Church at Yale, conducts an annual Spring Tour, and performs at other colleges and community events throughout the Yale and New Haven communities. The YGC is open to all Yale and members of the New Haven community. Its mission is to spread the "Good News" of the Lord in the tradition of gospel music.

The "Wake the Dream" program now operates throughout the year and celebrates the richness of experience, background and the diversity of ideas of us all.  The web site announcing a schedule of events is posted below.
