Beinecke events



Library staff members are cordially invited to attend this Friday's Kurt 
Weill celebration, marking the opening of the exhibition "Kurt Weill: A 
Centennial Celebration" at the Beinecke Library. The exhibition, prepared 
by Ken Crilly, is drawn from the Kurt Weill and Lotte Lenya papers at the 
Music Library.  Festivities begin at 5:15, when the Yale College Opera 
Company will perform Kurt Weill's short folk-opera "Down in the Valley"  in 
Sudler Hall. A reception and buffet dinner will follow at the Beinecke.

with Drika Purves as soon as possible: 432-2963 or drika.purves@yale.edu*** 
There will be two more performances of the opera, on Sunday at 4 and at 8 
p.m.; no reservations are required for the Sunday performances.
