service endurance awards

Since we just had the Service Quality awards, I'm thinking it will not be
so out of place if we offer Service Endurance Awards to those library staff
who were actually working at various library public service desks on the
"Saturday the Libraries Were Mobbed".  

I've only heard annecdotally about the run on the Reference Desk at SML,
but I suspect circulation desks all over the library system and other
service points that were staffed were equally innundated.  

So, I hearby recommend honorary citations to all the folks who kept smiling
and saying "Can I help you?" as the 451st person who came up to their desks...
