On behalf of the Staff Training & Organizational Development Committee, I wish to thank all of you who made our first Learning Fair so successful.  It appears that approximately 265 visitors made their way past our "booths", ate our cookies and filled out evaluations to improve the next fair.

For those interested, the results of the raffle are posted to the Fair website at: http://www.library.yale.edu/lhr/learningfair/inside.html  After some discussion, the STOD Committee has decided to let the result of the Palm Pilot drawing stand. The committee was in agreement that no member of the STOD Committee nor outside (library) presenter would be eligible for the Palm Pilot drawing. That said, we congratulate Michele Light on her very good fortune (although many of us still harbor a wee bit of envy)!

We hope you learned more about the services offered by various university departments and how they may assist you in your worklife. We also hope you became more familiar with the activities, projects and initiatives currently being undertaken by the Staff Training & Organizational Development Committee as well as other library committees and services.

The STOD Committee will sponsor a brief forum as a follow-up to the fair in the very near future.

"I learn because I am in the presence of someone learning, not because he or she is trying to teach me something."
