TIME CHANGE TO NOTICE
SATURDAY AFTERNOON, JANUARY 19, 2002 AT CENTRAL POWER PLANT
Between 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM, a procedure called a "STEAM
BLOW" will be preformed at the Central Power Plant. This procedure
will use high pressure steam at high velocity to clean the piping in the
plant. The steam is then released to the atmosphere. Because of the
velocity and volume of water vapor being released, LOUD NOISE and a VAPOR
CLOUD can be expected. Although the effects of the procedure may appear
dramatic, there is no cause for alarm, and there is no danger to the
public.
The entire procedure is expected to be complete within 1 hour.
Questions should be addressed to David Spalding at 432-7576 during normal
working hours, or to the Central Power PLant at 432-6840.
