FOCUS FORWARD - APPRECIATION FOR EFFORTS

At yesterday’s “Focus Forward” meeting, we
took ambitious and very successful first steps towards making the Yale
University Library a higher performing organization.  

Over one hundred and fifty members of the Yale University Library Staff
participated in this history-making activity, a very important component
of our Strategic Planning Process.  We want to extend to them our
appreciation for their efforts, both personally and as they represented
the Library as a whole.  We encourage them to share their
experiences, thoughts, and reflections on this process with their
colleagues.

There are many others to thank, including the Goal Group Members, who
gave so generously of their time and spirit to the Strategic Planning
Process.

We also want to thank those who, while not in attendance yesterday, made
it possible for so many to participate in the “Focus Forward”
event.  Without your extra efforts to accommodate their daylong
absence from the Library, we could not have achieved as much as we
did.

Communications regarding these activities will be issued to all very
shortly.  Your suggestions and ideas for our Strategic Planning
Process are always welcome, and we are looking forward to hearing from
