ELI Copyright Group and SCOPA are pleased to invite you to this afternoon's
forum:
COPYRIGHT, DIGITAL LIBRARIES AND YOU
Monday, May 12, 2:00 p.m. SML Lecture Hall
Please join us for a discussion about copyright, digital collections and
how the two can affect your work. The 90-minute forum will be in the SML
Lecture Hall on Monday, May 12th at 2 p.m. All library and ITS staff are
invited to participate in this discussion.
Speakers will be:
Arlene Bielefield, lawyer and incoming Chair of the Department of
Information and Library Science at Southern Connecticut State University,
will give a general copyright overview and discuss legal questions about
using digital reproductions of various formats of materials in an
educational setting.
Kimberly Parker, head of Electronic Collections at Yale University
Library, will describe electronic resources, such as full-text databases,
available through the library that can be used in classroom teaching and
presentations.
There will be time for your questions, so come prepared to participate!
