SCOPA/ELI Forum Reminder

A reminder about the upcoming ELI/SCOPA forum (as originally posted by Steve Jones for SCOPA):

To all Library staff:

You are cordially invited to a forum in the Sterling Lecture Hall on 27 May from 2:00 to 3:00 sponsored by the Electronic Library Initiatives and SCOPA. The topic of the forum will be: The ELI: American studies digital imaging project update.

Last May, Danuta Nitecki and Karen Reardon gave an overview of the first ELI (Electronic Library Initiatives) project at a SCOPA forum.

The grant-funded project is to explore and assess innovative uses for images and text in teaching and learning of American studies, in the context of electronic library initiatives. This past semester, three courses were supported by the grant.

Danuta and Karen will share the status of the project and provide initial insights on the support model, the faculty support
team chairs will provide an overview of the work of their groups and faculty participants Jonathan Holloway and Barbara Stuart will share their experiences and insight.

This is an excellent opportunity to find out about an exciting educational project and to hear the direct impact on teaching from a faculty perspective. All staff are encouraged to attend.
