Subject: Fwd: Workplace Survey Kickoff - Please Forward to Your Staff
Colleagues-- Below are the Workplace and Child Care Survey links that ALL
library staff are being asked to respond to. Please complete and return
as soon as possible, but no later than Friday, October 29th. Thank you
so much.
Dear Workplace Survey Pilot Participants,
Please share this email with all staff members in your department.
The Yale Workplace Survey begins today and runs through Friday, October
29. Here are simple steps on how to take the survey:
Staff may access the survey at
http://www.compcorp.com/tosurvey.aspx?accesscode=ZCE8G2D7A9 from home or
Yale computers, and participation is completely confidential. No NetID or
names will be asked for. Staff will only be prompted to select, from a
pull-down menu, what department they work in (as of September 15, 2004.)
This will enable each department to understand what its staff sees as
important workplace issues. Only our consultants, Towers Perrin, will
see the actual responses. To further ensure confidentiality, data will
only be reported by demographic groups with at least 10 people. For
example, if there are fewer than ten women in a unit, the data will not
be reported by gender. The survey takes on average 10 minutes to complete.
The "conversations" website at www.yale.edu/conversations offers
questions and answers, a demo survey for practice, and locations and
hours of staffed survey support sites. Your staff may simply walk in to
any of the support sites (no registration needed) for help. They may also
take the survey at that time.
Child Care Survey:
This is also "live" today at
<http://www.stsresearch.com/yale>www.stsresearch.com/yale. The survey is
part of an initiative to evaluate access to child care services. It is
confidential, and staff may take the survey from any computer, including
Workplace Survey support sites. Only Bright Horizons, our consultants in
this survey, will see the actual responses. A separate email with
further information on the Child Care Survey will also be sent
University-wide today.
Paper surveys for both will be available at support sites and the
Learning Center. If either you or any of your staff have questions about
either survey, please do not hesitate to call Laura Freebairn-Smith at
the Learning Center, 432-5660.
Thank you for participating in these surveys.
