CITY OF NEW HAVEN
MAYOR IMPOSES PARKING BANS
EFFECTIVE: 6:00 P.M. SATURDAY, JANUARY 22ND AND ENDING 6:00 A.M. ON
MONDAY, JANUARY 24TH A PARKING BAN IS IMPOSED IN NEW HAVEN AS FOLLOWS:
*NO PARKING ALONG POSTED SNOW EMERGENCY ROUTES
*NO PARKING DOWNTOWN
*NO PARKING ON ODD NUMBERED SIDE OF RESIDENTIAL STREETS
Mayor John DeStefano, Jr. has declared a snow emergency for snow
removal purposes and has announced the following parking bans:
Effective at 6:00 P.M. on SATURDAY, JANUARY 22, 2005, PARKING BAN
IMPOSED along all major arterial streets posted as snow routes.
Effective at 6:00 P.M. on SATURDAY, JANUARY 22, 2005 PARKING BAN
IMPOSED in the Downtown Area (all streets with in the area bounded by
Howe Street, Tower Parkway, Grove Street, State Street and North
Frontage Road).
Effective at 6:00 P.M. on SATURDAY, JANUARY 22, 2005 PARKING BAN
IMPOSED on the odd numbered side of residential street. Citizens are
directed to park on the even numbered side of all residential streets
leaving the odd side open for snow plows to clear the street to the
curb.
Cars parking in violation of the parking ban may be ticketed and/or
towed at a cost to the vehicle owner of $127.
The Parking Ban will expire at 6:00 AM on MONDAY, JANUARY 24, 2005
Mayor John DeStefano, Jr. urged the public's cooperation in complying
with the parking ban in order to assist the City's plowing operations.

overnight hours while the parking ban is in effect, please visit the
