Making of Modern Law

I thought it was worth pointing out that the Law Library has purchased
Gale's Making of Modern Law, a database consisting of the facsimile images
and searchable text of over 21,000 American and British law-related books
from 1800 to 1926. Pretty much all American and British law books from
this period are covered. Making of Modern Law is accessible to the entire
University, and has been added to the University Library list of
databases.

Although our Lexis and Westlaw subscriptions are unfortunately restricted
by contract to Law users, we continue to subscribe to other databases and
make them available to the University. Some of the other examples of this
are Hein Online, Oceana Online and the Index to Legal Periodicals.
