LSF Accessioning Record

Yesterday  two LSF staff members accessioned 4,029 items.  To appreciate 
the truly remarkable nature of this achievement, one need only recall that 
in 1998 it was estimated that it would take four FTE, with maximum 
effort,  an entire shift to accession 1,000 items.

Kudos to the LSF Bib Processing team on-campus, who were able to process 
such a large quantity of material (books and reels of microfilm) for 
transfer to LSF in a single day.  And special congratulations to George 
Cafasso, who on this occasion--as on many others--displayed  such admirable 
diligence, perseverance, and good spirits in performing his duties as a 
Materials Assistant at LSF.
