Miscellaneous Commands
Whereis Command
W Searches through whatever message, index, folder, etc. you are in.
 
Full headers toggle
H Shows you the full header for the message you are reading.
 
Sort
$ Changes the sort type on the index you are viewing.
 
Goto Folder
G Lets you go directly to a folder without seeing the selection screens.
 
Suspend
Ctrl-Z Lets you suspend your Pine session background it really) and get to the shell prompt. You can get it back by typing fg.
 
TAB file name completion
If you enable it, it allows you to enter only the first couple letters of, say, a folder that you are saving to. Press TAB and the name is completed for you.
 
Signature Files
Make a signature file from the Main Menu by selecting S for Setup and then S for Signature. It is stored in file called .signature in your main directory. You can edit it directly
 

Other stuff

Remember that your email is just text files. You can use non-mail related utilities to manipulate it and search it. You can use grep to search for text. You can ftp it to another computer. You can compress it or archive it. You can run it through html converters, etc.
