Voyager Installation Instructions

Voyager Client Installation

These instructions are for connecting to the Endeavor test database for the YUL.

The software is located on Banshee in the \passwd directory. (Expert user login and password required for installation.)

Installing the Client:

Connect to Banshee\passwd
Click on VoyagerConfig.EXE and follow the instructions for installation.
Click on VoyagerPrograms.EXE and follow the instructions for installation. (Note: You can choose to install only selected modules or click all options to install all available modules.)
Click on VoyagerSystem.EXE and follow the instructions for installation.
Copy the Voyager.ini file from Banshee to the directory you installed Voyager into.

Note: If you change the installation directory from C:\Voyager, use the same directory for each installation. Copy the Voyager.ini file into that same directory.

A Voyager Group should be created with icons for each group. The Operator ID and password are demo.

If you are doing YaleDB Testing

The Operator ID and password are: test.

If you are doing YaleDB Testing, only install the Cataloging, Acquisitions & Circulation Clients.

If you are doing YaleDB Testing, you must replace the voyager.ini file that is installed by default with the voyager.ini file found in \banshee\passwd\voyager\yaledbinifile.
