BACKGROUND NOTES:

This is the display of the detailed holdings (from the MHLD records) of multiple copies.

1. Top portion is the usual stuff

2. Following the citation reference to the bib. record view, display shows the detailed holdings (hol #) for each copy selected on the screen for display of multiple copies with MHLD records attached. If the reader has selected one or more of the copies on the preceding screen, then start the detailed holdings section with the text "Detailed Holdings for Selected Locations:" Do it in BOLD face. If the reader has selected all the copies, then display: "Detailed Holdings for All Locations:"

3. The display uses tables to layout the text. It is a two column table (with a section that can have 2 more columns in a nested table). In the left column display the labels from the Orbis display (bold 'em), e.g., LOCATION:, CALL NUMBER:, OTHER INFO:, CURRENT ISSUES:, etc. In the right hand column, display the associated value (text).

4. When a label for "CURRENT ISSUES" is displayed, change the subsequent label "LIBRARY HAS" to "BACK ISSUES".

5. In the section of the detailed holdings display that is labeled "STATUS", nest a 3 column table within the right hand column of the main table to display the status information effectively. In the 3 column table, the left hand column holds the numbering information (e.g., II.250:2 (1990:Nov.)), the center column holds a spacing image "white.gif", and the right hand column holds the status text, e.g., Overdue as of 09/26/1993 AT BINDERY: Ask at Circulation Desk. In this section, use the same number of lines that appear in the Orbis display for the display in Orbis on the web, e.g.,

 Overdue as of 09/26/1993
 AT BINDERY: Ask at Circulation Desk.

6. If the text in Orbis is emphasized, then make it bold in Orbis on the web.

7. When the MHLD is blank for one of the copies selected for display, then display the following text in the aread labeled "LIBRARY HAS"
