No Matches Found
Searches of this database search one or more of several indexes: the title index, the author index, subject heading indexes, call number indexes, and the keyword index. In the search you made, no matches were found.
Possible reasons:
If you aren't sure of the exact title, author name, subject heading, or spelling, truncate the end of the words or try a keyword search instead. Try out the new Keyword Searching Wizard in Orbis on the Web (Advanced Search: Complex Keyword Searching).
New documentation specifically designed for Orbis on the Web is not yet available. The existing Guide to Using Orbis was written for Standard Orbis, but the principles and advice apply equally well to Orbis on the Web. Examples which appear in this guide will function properly in Orbis on the Web if you drop the initial commands (t=, a=, s=, k=, etc.).
Alternatively, the command line searches presented in the instructions can be entered in Orbis on the Web using the search input forms without selecting a search type (i.e. don't click any radio button on the initial search form, or leave "Choose Search" selected in the "New Search" form which appears at the top and bottom of each page).

NOTES:
1. Pick up "Search Request:....." and "No ..... Entries Found" from the top two line of the Orbis session. "Yale Library Catalog" and "Search Results: 0 Entries Found" do not vary from one NoHits screen to another.
2. Use text provided in nohits.html as the response for ALL types of searches that return a zero result.
3. In call number searching there is no "no hits" screen, you'll be dropped into the index as close as possible to your search.
