We are college students studying Cultural Anthropology. We are looking for students in other parts of the world who could help us undertake a group project involving the study of another culture in terms of its: (1) values and norms; (2) beliefs and attitudes; (3) dress and appearance; (4) food and eating habits; (5) time and time consciousness; (6) relationships; (7) sense of self and space; (8) communication and language; (9) mental processes and learning; (10) work habits and practices.
We are also very much interested in the relationship between J. B. Smalls and Dr. Aggrey of Ghana.

The aim of the project is for the students, working in groups, to undertake a "study" of another culture using the above criteria as a guide, and present their findings to the group as a whole.

We need partners from all parts of the world. The project begins on October 10th and ends in mid-December. Any help would be greatly appreaciated.

Please send email to any of our group members.

Course Description:

Teaches the evolution of culture from its earliest appearance to the present. Emphasizes analysis of living non-Western cultures. Stresses such aspects of social organization as religion, economics, political organization, language, kinship, art, etc. An effort will be made to compare the cultures studied and draw inferences relevant to a better understanding of our own way of life.
