Whiskey Cake


1 box Duncan Hines butter cake
1 box vanilla instant pudding
4 eggs
1/2 cup oil
1 shot whiskey (rye or bourbon)

Add ingredients togerther and mix at least 2 minutes.  Grease tube pan.  Bake at 350° for 1 hour.

Sauce
Melt 1/4 pound butter in saucepan.  Add 1/2 cup whiskey and 3/4 cup sugar.  Heat on stove until sugar dissolves. 

Take cake from oven and spoon half of sauce over it while still in the pan.  Let cake stand 10 min.  Turn out of pan and pour rest of the sauce over cake.  The longer you keep this cake the better it gets. 

Keep refrigerated.
