Oxford Journals to publish two 'Briefing' titles from 2006

Oxford Journals, a division of Oxford University Press, has announced the 
purchase of two titles from Henry Stewart Publications, Briefings in 
Bioinformatics, and Briefings in Functional Genomics and Proteomics. The 
Briefings titles join Oxford's leading collection of Life Science titles 
from 2006.

Each Briefings journal publishes commissioned reviews in four issues per 
year, acting as an international forum for techniques and approaches to 
research in the Life Sciences, and providing practical guidance to working 
biologists. The two titles encompass major areas of contemporary molecular 
biology - bioinformatics, genomics and proteome research.

"We're delighted to add the Briefings titles to our Life Sciences list, 
which already includes leading publications such as Bioinformatics, 
Nucleic Acids Research, and Human Molecular Genetics" commented Claire 
Saxby, Editor, Biomedical Sciences, Oxford Journals. She continued,

experts. Subjects covered are among the fastest moving in molecular 
biology which means that up-to-date overviews are essential for the many

Oxford Journals will publish Briefings in Bioinformatics and Briefings in 
Functional Genomics and Proteomics from 2006.
