RE: Cross-institutional instruction and access
Thank you for your response, Dr. Mayank Trivedi. I find it very
interesting that you are able to provide access to electronic journals
at the national level. I know of no other similar program in our country
and fear that circumstances in the U.S. are much more restrictive.
So, I'm still interested in hearing from other members of this list under
what conditions students taking courses online from another institution
but for credit at their own have online access to that institution's
electronic databases and journals during the duration of the course. That
is, are they considered authorized library users of the other institution
while enrolled in that institution's course even though they receive
credit from their own institution? How does this play out in licensing
language?
If anyone can share information with me, I'd be very grateful.
Thanks again,
Linda

Subject: Re: Cross-institutional instruction and access
Dear Linda Neyer,
We are having elecronic access of journals on national level and any
library can access the journals. There are three programmes Indmed, MedInd
and OpenMed@nic.in These are electronically accessible.
We have to perform inter-institutional, cross-institutional services in
India
